Original encaustic wax painting.
The wax used to create this painting was taken to Mount Schiehallion to absorb the energies from the land. This distinctive ‘pointed’ mountain is situated near Kinloch Rannoch in the centre of Scotland.
The name Schiehallion is derived from the Gaelic, Sìdh Chailleann, meaning “fairy hill of the Caledonians”. According to ancient legend, the fae or fairy people, dwell in a cave at the foot of this magical Scottish mountain. One of Schiehallion’s many caves is also rumoured to conceal a slumbering dragon.
Blue dragon energy is a powerful energy, filled with love and peace. The blues in this painting were chosen to create an aura of tranquillity, to bring peace to your thoughts and mind, to your heart and your body. To hold a light in your life no matter what is going on in the world around you.
The rainbow colours shimmering in the mountain were chosen to symbolise hope, healing and happiness.
